Dreamer + A life less ordinary

A dreamer with a vision, she gets giddy with every thought. She has passion and drive and a heartwarming smile. My daughters and I joke that we are each other’s twin, “I have 50% of your best qualities combined with 50% of Dad’s and that makes up the perfect combination” cries one of my daughters! So true, so unique. As I watch my girls frolic in their thoughts, I realize they are living a life less ordinary, unafraid to reach, failing forward with every knock back. I have not failed in my quest to make them strong young women, eager to make the world a better place, I have made errors, learned from them and moved on. I believe you need to surround yourself with likeminded people, put out to the universe what you want to receive and you will reap the rewards.

A PART OF ME!

I LOVE being a mother, a wife, old family photos, the sound of my daughter’s laughter, my mother’s apple seed necklace. Walking barefoot on the sand, a gentle breeze brushing my face, the Zen of Winthrop, being wrapped up tight by my husband’s gentle embrace, BIG chocolate brown puppy dog eyes from Teddy. IRELAND..

I FEEL UNCOMFORTABLE being the center of attention.

MY FORM OF EXERCISE walking, walking and walking. I love walking.

I APPRECIATE honesty, respect, loyal friendships.

MY FAVOURITE MAGAZINE professional photographer, lucky (I drool).

I AM INSPIRED BY confidence, taking a chance against the odds.

I AM AMAZED BY people who take a stand against bullies

I AM HARDEST ON MYSELF When I feel like I am not as good others.

I FEEL CHERISHED when I get your attention and you hear what I am saying.

MY GUILTY PLEASURE Real Housewives (all of them).

MY DREAM HOME A 2,500 sq. ft. + home ,wide open for entertainment on 1 acre, a getaway in Winthrop on 10 + acres by the river with horses AND beach house where I can sip a glass of chilled wine while watching the sunset.

I’D WEAR TO THE ACADEMY AWARDS something classic from the 50’s

REFINED MEANS TO ME pure.

TREASURE MEANS TO ME a memory saved forever, private, happiness.

FIRE STARTERS + LOOKING UP

My new addiction is Danielle LaPorte! She’s God right now and I live by her words. She might just be the kick in the ass I needed but was afraid to receive (it could hurt). I simply l love positive reading and influence and avoid negative flow like the plague, if you have that negative flow go look at yourself in the mirror and tell it to yourself! Danielle new bool The Fire Starter Sessions is on my buy list for this weekend, I will have highlighter and stickies on hand and know I will use them a lot and might have BIG eyes (gasp) when reading!

 

I also “discovered” Michael J Fox this week, yes “I” discovered him! I was reading an interview with him in Counselor magazine (don’t ask) and was blown away by him. I have his book “Always Looking Up” on hold at the library and I am dying to get my hands on it!

DONT LET THE GREEN GRASS FOOL YOU!

Have you ever wondered what its like on the other side, you know, where the grass is greener! I spend the long gray winter months of Seattle thinking about that beautiful place. The place where I laugh all day long until it hurts. I walk barefoot, feel the gentle brush on my face and my hair slowly dances as the morning breeze picks it up to the sun for a soft kiss.

It really comes down to finding inner happiness. Striking a balance and sailing on the calm wave while you ride out the storm,

I am surrounded by amazing people, who keep me grounded, but dream with me when my mind carries me to that place. I eventually return and realize I have had it all along, it just got a little out of focus.

 

Be thankful for small deeds, give more then you receive and don’t let the green grass fool you..
